Swapping plan managers is a simple 3-step process. The following is a guide on what you should do if you would like to swap plan managers:

Step 1: Find a plan manager that suits your needs.

It is important to find a new plan manager before giving notice to your current plan manager. This is because you don’t want to leave your current plan manager and be left without someone to manage your funding.

Step 2: Inform your chosen plan manager that you would like to swap to them.

Once you have chosen who your new plan management provider will be, get in contact with them and let them know that you would like to swap from your current plan manager. The reason this is important is because you want to ensure that the organisation you would like to switch to has capacity to work with new clients.

Step 3: Give notice to your current plan manager.

Once you have found and contacted your new plan manager, you will need to give notice to your current plan manager. You might like to send an email to your current plan manager notifying them that you would like to stop using their services. The typical notice period of ending services with a plan manager is two weeks, however this information will be in the service agreement that you signed when you engaged their services.

That's it! It's as simple as that. Once the required notice has been given to your current plan manager, you will continue to be a client of their’s until the specified notice period has expired. Your new plan manager will then take over managing your funding following this period.
